Let’s dive into the Baroque era, and era of abundance, and explore it for today!
Let’s walk through the rooms of Hisa Linhart, each of which hides a scene from the Baroque period.
What happened then and is still relevant today?
Today, we still want abundance, albeit we conceal it as modesty, whereas in the Baroque period, it was displayed shamelessly.
A walk through Baroque Radovljica and Hisa Linhart provides an opportunity to the Baroque era live through the prism of architecture, food, drinks, winemaking, painting, music, dance, fashion and more. We have plenty to be grateful for to the Baroque era!
Taste dishes from the Baroque period, such as baked apple with walnuts, brawn, giant smoked trout, capon, onion soup, and luxurious oysters with tripe.
Dessert will comprise chocolate treats and exotic fruit that were imported to Europe in the time of Baroque imperialism.
Who will provide the drink(s)?
Selected cocktails, wines, liqueurs and sparkling wines provided by Nejc Farčnik, Kristjan Jakša and Lan Kristančič from Movia! The Baroque era was a time of imperalism, when coffee, cocoa and exotic herbs were brought to Europe and the first champagne cellars opened. We will savour all of this in Baroque cocktails and MOVIA wines!
In times of great scientific achievements, superstition is widespread. What kind of future does fortune teller Ema Štefelin predict for us in room 8?
In room 7, we dance with dancers Greg Koritnik and Mojca Marinšek in the Baroque style to the beats of Vivaldi and Bach, who greatly influenced today’s music artists.
Academic painter Meta Šolar is looking for a male model in room 3! How are frescoes created and why were artists mainly men in the Baroque period?
In room 10, together with Radolška cokolada chocolatier and Isa Mikelj, we give thanks to the Baroque era, which brought chocolate and exotic fruits to Europe.
